Music is basically about influencing people and creating impact – exactly what business leaders and teams need daily in presentations, meetings and conversations. We open the toolbox with the musical and rhetorical tools managers, teams and companies can use to create more personal and common impact.

Why music as lab?

Musical performance and team work is naked. You simply see and hear everything right away. Is the team in tune? Does the leader affect the team as intended? Is it a convincing performance or just a mediocre one?

Having musicians playing for us, we get a shortcut to identify business dilemmas and solutions to solve them. We work with three main topics: self leadership, team connectivity and presentation & performance.

With the Brass In Tune brass ensemble and business rhetorician Mette Højen on stage to anchor the tools in everyday management and presentations, we address different challenges and provide solutions and tools for eg:

• How to attract and keep peoples’ attention
• How to develop confidence and connection within a team
• How to listen for real – and trust your team
• Self leadership techniques to perform at your best

This is how we work in the workshop

We start with a business dilemma. It can, for example, deal with how to tune in to each other as a team, trust, power, listening, preparation, performance mindset, self-management, non-verbal communication, executive presence, role-shift between acting leader and being part of the team.

We listen to and watch the dilemma in a musical context. Everything can be heard and seen in music, so therefore our musicians show how the dilemma is heard, seen and experienced in a musical context.

We discuss, reflect and find a solution. Together with the musicians, we discuss what we experienced and find out how we solve the problem.

We take the first step towards integrating the solution into your everyday life. Through questions and discussion we take the first steps towards new habits that you work into everyday life.
